The Requirement

At their new processing facility, had planned to allocate more storage space due to their projected demand but their limited clear height and selectivity for picking and handling each SKU became their challenge. The conventional stacking method did not prove to be useful as it could benefit in terms of space but not in piecewise picking, hence handling huge volumes became a difficult task.

The Solution

We at Craftsman storage systems understood their pain points in terms of handling such huge volumes and constrained clear height to offer them the static shelving solution for their finished garments.

The solution was a shelving system with 2 variants of racks for their G+2 Civil building. The total number of racks was 380 with 4 levels of decking up to a height of 3400 on each floor and capable to handle 1T load per level.
The total number of finished goods and garments that can be accommodated in these shelving levels were close to 4.8 Lakhs individual finished garments, with a total load up to 1000 Tonnes.

Benefits to the customer

Piecewise order processing, Batch wise order processing, and bulk order processing for all these methods, the people on the packing line found it easy as goods were kept in an orderly fashion and easy to identify.
The large volume of garments in the shelving levels was aesthetically appealing, thanks to our box-type cladding on either side of the racks.
The finished garments were free from damage and impressions formed due to traditional stacking methods.
The overall project was executed and put to use within a month of the material delivery.
